QR codes (or quick response codes) seem to be all the rage recently.
I'm sure you've seen these images popping up all over the place; a two-
dimensional code that can be scanned by smartphone cameras to automatically
pull up text, photos, videos, music, and URLs.
These codes have become mobile-friendly ways to show people more about a
product or business... or just about anything you want, from menu's to special deals
and offers.
Not long ago I heard a marketing consultant mention how he uses them -- not as a saleable item to offline
businesses -- but printing them up on his own and just giving them -- for free -- to the biz owners.
It's a great ice breaker. If they're interested, he goes on to explain how a business owner can use them to
increase sales.
It's getting crazy though....CUPCAKES??? One bakery owner uses it as a way for customers to see ALL
her pastry products on her website when customers scan it. (great for catering orders!!)
